The Nanded Pharmacy College (Poly) is an Government of Maharashtra Grant-in -Aid institute established in 1982 and is affiliate with the Maharashtra state board of technical education, Mumbai. The polytechnic runs only a 2-year diploma in pharmacy certificate programs since 1982. This is the minimum competency certificate course sufficient to enroll as a “Registered Pharmacist” with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council for professional practice as per provision of pharmacy act 1948. The training is focused at development of skills dispensing of medications in a drug store and hospital in accordance with conditions of license under the Drugs and Cosmetic act, 1940. The program is aimed at development of trained technical manpower in delivering goods in ancillary health care support services in the form of professional and entrepreneurs. The diploma holders are held qualified and eligible for further higher studies (B.Pharm) directly into second year of the 4 year degree programs with certain conditions.
